To increase ph could you add like lime directly to you tank or baking soda or something? OR what othe methods are there. My tanks ph is like 8 but i just want it a little higher.

a pH of 8 is perfectly fine. make sure to measure your Ca, ALK, and Mg before trying to adjsut pH

Most likely it just needs better air exchange. This is a common problem when a house is closed up in winter or in summer when the a/c is on.
To find out if that is the problem, take a sample of water outside and aerate it with a small air pump for an hour to an hour and a half. If the pH is higher, then a need for more air water exchange is indicated.

Hi I agree with RJ on this. make sure to have alot of aggitation. airstones does the thing coupled with a powerhead. spraybars also contributes. in my 15 gal ive got all the above. If you want to still increase the Ph definately use a buffer as stated above.:thm:
