If ALL you are going to keep is one species, then you can get away with probably 20-30 of them. if you want other tetras or other species as well, then keep a school of 10 or so and add the other fish.OmriUria said:Hi'
I'm about to buy 35 gallon tank and want to have Tetras in it. How many neons can I have in a 35 gallon tank?
Agreed.....I would go with a BIG school....50 might be pushing it though. If that is all you are wanting.....might I suggest Cardinals however, instead of neons....granted they do not school as well, but they are way more beautiful.....pop some peat moss in your filter, have some amazon swords and other plants like that along with some black water...and your cardinals will sparklemisopeenut said:30 neon?? thats it?
is your tank like 30inches wide?? i think you can go with at least 50 of them.
