How long for mystery snail babies to grow

I just had my first clutch hatch today. At first, I thought they were all dead because it didn't look like any of them were moving. However, once they were all in the water I dropped in some snail jello and I could see a bunch of them all over it, along with the adults.

So, how long will it be before I can stop using the magnifying glass to look at them?

Also, is it better to have them in a 20 gallon grow out tank, or in a 55 gallon with a bunch of plants and 25 other mystery snails, not to mention a decent amount of pond snails? I'm just looking for an excuse to buy a 20.

Its better to have them in an established tank. A new tank will not have the infusoria or biofilm for them to feed on. Tank temp and food will determine how fast they grow. Typically at a temp of 74ish mine reach pea-sized in about 6 weeks.

Thanks for the info. I can hardly find a single one of those 40+ babies I put in the tank yesterday. I guess they are hanging out all over the tank by now, since it has been 24 hours from when they went in the water.
