Normally I get them from the LFS to a tank pretty quickly - but someone just dropped some to me that they didn't want and I can't get them home for about 8 hours. Never left fish in a bag this long before. One fish per bag a 3 inch pleco and a large tiger barb. They've probbably been bagged a couple of hours all ready. Is 10 hours going to be too long for them?

could you at least find some kind of larger container for them? I've had danios in tupperware for a few hours before. (tank leak)

it shouldnt be a problem, when fish are shipped they are in bags for a lot longer then 10 hours. Make sure there is plenty of air in the bag

usally when people ship fish this way thay use breather bags or will the bad with pure O2 so it is a little different.

Here are a few examples: #1 A co-worker bagged a couple of Bettas for herself when they came in on a Thursday afternoon. They were bagged in an 8" x 20" bag each with just air. She put them under the counter and forget to take them that night. I found them Saturday morning alive and well At least 40 hrs in the bag. #2 A shipment of Red Sea SW fish came in to the airport but was lost. This was on Tuesday. Thursday they called and said they found it. Approx 80% of the fish survived. At least 72 hours in the bag.

I've had fish shipped to me from members on here and from people on Aquabid, and usually, they were simply shipped in the regular plastic fish bags (once with Kordon breather bags for fish, a couple for inverts). I can think of at least 3 times where I had fish in the regular plastic bags that were shipped Priority Mail and in the mail for 2-3 days and arrived just fine.
