my console table manual says max load 160 pounds. it's the only table i can put fish tank on to replace my fishbowl, does anyone know how heavy is a standard filled 20 gallon seaclear acrylic tank? I know water weighs 8 pounds per gallon, so it looks to be barely enough, think it will be ok?

ps cant get a stand or any larger tank, i live in a high rise condo and will probably sell the place soon with the way re market is going..

Under normal circumstances, a small tank (20, ie) tank will weight around 200 lbs, considering water, the tank itself, decorations, and the weight of the hood and the ligtging fixtures. 1 gl = 8.3 lbs

Water: 18 gallons --> 150 lbs.
Tank: 30 lbs.
Hood + ligting + filter 20 lbs.
Decor 10 lbs.

I calculate you are leaving your water level 1" below the tank limit. Also, you have not a lot of gravel, wich is slightly heavier than water.

This is not exact, but it will weigth around this.
