How fast do goldfish grow?

I need to know how long it takes for 2 inch goldfish to grow to 5 inches.

There are many variables involved that can change the growth rate. Depends on how often you feed your fish, how often you maintain your tank and how much space is accommodated for the fish. Which strain are you keeping and what size is the tank/pond?

I wanted to keep several common goldfish. Apparantly, my pond is 200 gallons.

The longest goldfish was measured at 47.4 cm (18.7 in) from snout to tail-fin end on March 24, 2003 in Hapert, The Netherlands. It was owned by Joris Gijsbers.[6]
The longest fancy goldfish was measured at 37.2 cm (15 in) in 2002. It was an oranda called Bruce and was owned by Tung Hoi Aquarium Co. owners brothers Louis and Jackie Chan. Bruce has since died but not after attaining an additional 2.8 cm, making Bruce's length in excess of 40 cm

I once saw a video on youtube showing goldfish in a pond right when they were purchased and they were only 2 inches and 2 weeks later, they were huge. I wanted to know how big they get so I could know when I could put other creatures in there (waterdogs, crawfish, frogs) without them eating the goldfish.

plan on at least 12 inches. You can put only one in your pond.

2 of my goldfish grew from 1 inch at the time of purchase in October 07, 2 inches in January 08, 3 inches when they moved to a big pond in February, and now they are about 7 inches in August.

my comet grew about 1.5" in a couple of months after moving him from a 5gal tank to a 40gal.
