how do you know when a dwarf puffer is pregnant?

I only know a little bit about these little ones, I believe out of the 4 dwarfs i have only 1 is male and the others are female. do they lay eggs or have live births? if eggs does anyone know what they look like? thanks!

dwarf puffers are egg-layers, and they are notoriously hard to breed.

She might be fat 'cuz she has filled up with eggs, or it may be something else.
