Hi guys!
I was wondering what Pleco's are compatible with hillstream loaches. My Hillstream loaches are really small (And definitely cute) and territorial. So territorial, I put my face near the aquarium that they try to attack me (Kind of have to stare at them for awhile though lol)!
That being said, since these harmless little loaches aren't afriad of larger beings, I don't know how to introduce a pleco. Since they're prone to attacking their own species (hillstream loaches look really similar to plecos), I'm worried that they pick on a pleco, they'll be harmed. I know pleco's can do damage to goldfish, its scary seeing them hurting my poor little loaches.
The reason why I want a pleco is because I need an algea eating fish to add to my community, the loaches are thriving off the algea but not enough.
If pleco's ARE compatible with harmless hillstream loaches, I was thinking about either getting a bristle nose or rubber nose pleco.
Side note: Had a bunch of nerite snails, they did a really good job of cleaning the my 100g. They died due to ich treatment. Don't wanna buy anymore snails because I'm afraid they are carries for ich and die from the treatment... unless someone can give me analyzed detailed solution.
