Out door pond in Las Vegas, who thought about winter ?
I dug a hole last spring and put a kiddie pool in the ground of our back yard. I have a red ear slidder who has lived in there about 8 months. He will not get out of the water. Chases other turtles and tortoise away.
It s now getting cold. I have gotten 2 -75gallon heaters out there for him. Last night got down to 45 or 50. Its only October.
What can I cover the pond with to keep the heat in for him, but still let him be able to come or go if he wants ?????
please help me.
