I've done away with the paludarium setup of my 10g and am converting to a full planted 10g. I currently have 3 harlequin rasboras who seem to be doing very well (growing) - would it be a bad idea to add three sparkling gouramis rather than adding an additional 3 harlequins? How would they get a long if I did 3 Harlequina + 3 sparkling.

Id really like to keep the number of fish low!

Any advice is appreciated :)

I agree with Lupin. The harlequins would be more interesting in a group of 5 and with 3 sparkling gouramis the tank would still be pretty lightly stocked.

I agree. Give the gouramis a couple weeks to adjust and they'll be marvelous :)

I agree with the others on the 5 and 3 idea. You'll love the sparkling gouramis- they are beautiful once they settle in, and they have lots of personality, very interesting to watch. I'd still have my trio, but I had a heater malfunction fry them and I haven't seen them locally since. :(

Good luck! :)

^^ thats jm for ya, the one sheep that you will find out in the fiel, instead of at the slaughter house, ata boy! Dont give in to peer pressure!

But more people have honey gourami's than sparklings? To be really different, get rid of the harley's and get 3 Dario dario(Scarlet Badis) or some of the Danio erythromicron.
