How long do these guys live?

I had 2 which died yesterday. I raised them since juvies, so it's a loss.

Nothing was wrong with any other fish or inverts, however the rest of the Harlequins seem depressed about losing the two biggest members of the group.

Tank is 20 gal at 78 degress, planted.

Kuhli loaches, now 7 harlequin rasboras, some ghost shrimp, and 20 or more snails.

I know a link was posted a while back with a list of the life expectancies for a variety of FW fish...unfortunately I didn't bookmark it. I believe 2-4 years is the average for a harlie but I am not certain. Hopefully someone has the link.

Sorry for your losses :(

I have a school of harlies that turned 5 this year. None of them are even beginning to show signs of old age yet.

I think all fish have the potential to live 6+ years.

We had some harlies and they were at least 10 years old before our Mom took them back to the pet store, she didn't know they were that old and wanted to eliminate one of our 6 fish tanks :( No idea how much longer they lived.
