Guppy attacking Platy?

Hey guys, it's been a while.
I just bought some fish today, and didn't have any troubles with this combination of fish before, but my Turquoise Guppy seems to be nipping (what it looks like to me) at my Red Wag Platy. I don't know if that's what he's really doing or not but I didn't know if this could be a problem, if it's not what he's doing. I have 4 fish all together in this particular tank and this is the only one it's going after.

Guppy aren't violent are they? lol
I'm not aware at all that they are.

Is the Platy a female? The guppy may be trying to mate...

You could be correct. I think it is a female. It won't hold still long enough for me to look underneath though.

Guppies are probably the "friskiest" of the livebearers...

What size tank and what are the inhabitants?

It's a 10 gal with 2 male guppies, 1 red wag platy, and 1 dalmatian molly

Your guppy wants to make babies with your platy.
Happened with my endler and my male platy.

I have three male platys and one male guppy and the guppy never bothers anyone! I have a platy playing "tank boss" with the other two platys. Mr. Guppy is a nice guy!
