So I was reading over some posts on google. And I came across the Freshwater Ghost shrimp is the same as the Grass shrimp I use for fishing. Can I buy a box of those and put it into my fish tank? If its the same then I'd be going to my Local Bait and Tackle store for some shrimp HAHA.

Depends upon what species you buy. Ghost shrimp is actually a collection of species that are small and mostly translucent. I'm pretty sure I've gotten two different species from one tank. The difference if you buy them at the bait store make sure they are freshwater not saltwater shrimp.

Well it doesn't hurt to try, right? I can give it a shot since I have experience with the bait shrimp. They do look identical to the aquarium shrimp. So when I go to my buddy's tackle store I'll be sure to pick up a box and try them out in my tank and let everyone know if they work.

I would be curious to know if they do work.

How much do the bait shrimp cost? And do they come in a container already or do you scoop them out of a large vat?

It would be gross, but you could always put a drop of the water on your tongue to see if it's salty :)
