My cherry shrimps can't eat the stuff fast enough, so I am wondering is there a small fish that thrives on green hair algae that would get along with the shrimp?

Swordtails eat algae, and so do platys (thier cousins w/out the sword.) They get a little long though, 4", but I've kept them in aquariums ranging from 5-60 gallons. They wont hurt your shrimp either.

yeh i just read plattys eat it, my one platty just died otherwise I would have introduced him to the tank :: (

I am going to spend the later part of today trying to pull as much of the algae out by hand as possible the only issue is I have hundreds of baby cherry shrimp so pulling them with it is a concern :: (
