I remember I bought I think a "small" gecko from Petsmart like 7 years ago as a graduation present from kindergarten (she's still alive and healthy) and I was just wondering how old are the "small/baby" geckos at Petsmart or Petco? Just asking. My mom said she was either 5 months old or 10 months old or 2 weeks old when we bought her.

They usually are no younger than a few months. I think the leopard geckos are generally between 4-6 months old. Not sure about the crested or other ones they carry.

I guess that would depend on the species. I've seen leopard gecko babies for sale as young as 2 weeks old at the Petsmart near me which in my opinion is too young to sell.

Thanks, I just wanted info on how old leopard geckos are at Petsmart. That means my gecko was probably born no later than January 2003.

He's still a pup. They can live for quite a while. I still have my original pair I bought when I was 12 and I've had them for 18 years. Still as alert as they were the day I got them too.

Wow 18yrs thats a long time. Thats older then most dogs get. Then again look at who there owner is. You take care of your herps.

With good care leopard geckos have the potential to get 20+ years old.

As long as you are caring for them properly they will give a good majority of your life good company:)

My gecko is still active at night, so I guess so. She's always trying to climb up walls and chase crickets and whatnot.
