I have some Herotilapia multispinosa "teenagers" for sale. $5.00 each for F2 orange variety (pics of the parents available upon request) - email me directly at "gametrailgirl at yahoo dot com" for pics as I don't know how to attach pics to PM's. Beautiful and really peaceful CA cichlids (had spawn in overcrowded 90g with NO injuries or attacks!) These are pics of the parents. Shipping or pick up available in central Colorado.

For anyone who's interested in getting some of these beauties but doesn't want to drive to Buena Vista, there's a very nice young man who lives in the metro Denver area who is willing to bring back some fish for other folks when he comes up here on Saturday morning (the 19th). So if you're interested = HURRY and email or PM me for his contact info so he can bring you some when he comes up.

I wish my rainbows would colors up like yours. I would pick them up if i was not in VA.

Just a quick reminder for you Colorado folks - tonight is the deadline for connecting with the Denver guy who's coming tomorrow to pick up his Rainbows - and will be happy to pick up some for you Denver folks! Hurry so he has your info before he leaves early tomorrow morning! PM me for his email address and you can connect directly with him - but it has to be done tonight!

What size are your rainbows? how large are the parents? I think mine from the LFS are stunted.

Well the parents (pictured) spawned in a 55g planted tank, but our PH is around 7.4. However, "they say" that rainbowfish won't live in our ph either, and they do fine, and even spawn. Back to the rainbow cichlids - their tankmates were pretty much the same +more as yours. Rainbowfish, mollys, platys, plecos, etc... So I guess the answer would be yes to you. PH would be the only thing that's slightly iffy, but my "personal opinion" is that if you get them acclimated slow enough, I think most any fish can live (thriving might be another story) in your tank. However - this is just MY opinion!

The parents that are pictured above were around 4" to 4.5". The children that I have now are in the 2" range.
