Fish Twitching

I think I have a problem.

I noticed about 3 hours ago, that my clown fish is doing this strange twitch to one side. He has been doing it on and off for about 3 hours. It seems that he does it more when I am near the tank. He also seems to be nipping at the glass. He has no odd spots or anything on him. Does anyone know what this might be? He seems to stick to one area and do it. It is a little crater down by where my diamond watchman goby lives. Anyone ever seen this behaviour? Does it indicate anything?

Also my goby got a blackish spot, about the same time. But it seems to be on the inside of his upper lip, and does not look like any ich I have seen on the net. It kind of looks like he bite something that cut him.

Could someone post some high quality, good pictures of ich? I have been unable to find any on the net. :(

I checked all my params yesterday, and everything was perfect.

Everytime I go near the tank he goes to the exact spot and does his twitch. He points his tail at the ground, and points up, and twiches, blowing sand even a bit. Is he just trying to be like my goby? They have become friends, strangely and hang out.

I just checked my ammonia, and it is reading 0.25ppm.

Why would that be? I had a snail die 2 days ago, but my starfish took it away before I could get it out. And ate it I assume. Could this be why my fish is twitching, levels of ammonia?

I just did a 4g water change, just under 10%, all the RO/DI I had on hand. I live on the 4th floor so the pressure behind my filter system is slow, will be 6 hours for 5g more. I will do 6g in the morning, if he is still acting up.

I also just fed them a bit, and they all ate as usual.

Checking Nitrites right now to see if there is a mini cycle or something going on.

Any help would be great, maybe I am over reacting.

clowns swimming funny usually means somethings wrong with the water column. Doing what you are doing is a good step. Just see how it pans out and maybe he might stop his twiching.

Do you mean he does not like the water flow or something? Or something wrong with my params? I did recently add in a new 400gph in tank pump, cause my flow was pretty low. It is pointed at the back of the tank though and not really effecting anything he hangs around.

I just checked my nitrites and they are reading 0ppm.

I did a 6g water change on wednesday and checked every param, and they were all good.

So the fish seem ok this morning/afternoon. I checked them at 7am, middle of the night for them and they were all in bed. And I just checked again and they seem fine.

No one has any ideas what this twitching was? Was it just my clown warning me of the ammonia?

Why would my tank suddenly have ammonia? The snail that died got eaten for sure, I saw it in the belly of my starfish.

I am very confused. My clown looks like he is loosing 1 single scale on his backside. I can see it hanging off, there was nothing in that location last night, no spots or anything. He has not had any white spots anywhere.

He is still doing the twitchy thing, but it is a lot less, like only one twitch in 30 minutes, and it is towards the side he has the scale hanging off.

I just tested ammonia again, and it seems to be reading 0ppm now.

Any ideas at all? What is going on?
