Its that time of there year for pumpkins in my neck of the woods. And i was wondering since pumpkin in a veg. can fish eat it? I dont want to harm them but I think it would be good for them.

I'm going to have to say Yes. I've fed my fish everything from carrots to oranges thus far and they liked everything but the carrots. I can see my fish loving a little piece of pumpkin. I don't see how it could harm them. Just make sure it's not in the tank for more then 24 hours is my rule of thumb. If they don't want it they won't eat it.

ok ok I have bought a pumpkin and the news is in pumpkin is a big yes my fish took to it and loved it. however i would recomend very very smal peaces if your fish are smaller. my 2.5 inches red top had problems eating the small chunck even.
