Filter/Pump for Small Pond setup needed

Thanks for the info. I did purchase the Tertra filter/pump combo. So far it is working great. Here is a updated picutre of the setup. I am still having trouble with the top section. Is there anyway to minimize the amount of algae build it receives? The bottom is very controllable. But the top section, not so much. I did have some fish in this section, but that didnt really do anything for the algae. (so I placed them back in the bottom pool) The setup is in full sun all day with little or no shade.

thanks

You will have some , exp. since it is full sun. You can try some plants that will sometimes help. If you want to try the koi clay I would be glad to send you some no charge or depending on where you are you are welcome to come by. My smaller pond has it on the walls but the water is clear. You can also try an air pump with an airstone as sometimes that will help. I also have a very large waterlily I am gonna divide up you are more than welcome to a piece of it , it is nothing fancy just a white one but it thrives here in Alabama.I have a couple of other plants that I am going to divide up also. I would not since you have fish try the algae destroyer it takes a lot of air because it sucks the oxygen out of the water I have seen many loose their fish because of it.

Thanks for the advice. I am located in pelham. (suburb of Birmingham) I will be more then happy to try some of the koi clay. I dod have some Algae destroyer that I did use in very small amounts. I leanred the hard way about this product in the past. And am always open to try some more plants as well. Where are you located in Alabama?

I am in Jasper so we are not to far apart. The clay will cloud it a day or two but then it will clear up.
