feeding goldfish

What kind of food so you guys feed your goldfish?
I feed my two goldfish that are inside Wardley's goldfish crumbles (slow sinking). The goldfish that are in my container pond outside I feed flakes (I forget the brand name right now), and Tetra Koi Vibrance Food. I mainly feed the flake food to the mosquito fish I have in the pond, the goldfish in the pond eat the pellets. Is this ok for them? They seem to really like it. I do have some tubifex worm cubes would they eat that? I tried giving the tubifex worms to my tropical fish and they didn't like it a whole lot. I want to make sure they are eating good. Would goldfish eat bloodworms or brine shrimp? I've never tried feeding them peas how often do you feed them peas? How do you feed them peas?
 
wardley gives my goldfish the floats.

i've just recently started feeding them tetra goldfish crisps... its a little more solid than flakes, so they dont fall apart (and cloud the water) so quickly. i've been pretty happy with it so far. it turns the filter foam pink though, hah!
i also give them the algae crisps, same concept only made with algae.

the only issue i have with it is that the instructions say to give them one crisp (same size as a flake) per 1 inch of fish length. I think that's ridiculous, and i don't know where they got that number, but it's not even close.

every once in a while i'll feed them peas, carrots, zucchini or romaine lettuce. also freeze dried inverts of various types.
 
After nearly everyone here recommended it, I bought some progold sinking pellets from the Goldfish connection online. Jack loves the pellets. But I bought a bunch of their tropical fish food for my community tank and my fish won't touch any of it.

I also supplement with spirolina pellets every other day and a mashed cooked and peeled pea two or three times a week. I've heard oranges are good, but with so many other fruits in season I forget to buy them. I put in zucchini a couple times and my fish ignored it.

and i put in a sinking algae wafer after dark every few days for my otoclinus and I suspect Jack eats most of it.

you can give them peas, zucchini, oranges, lots of stuff
for the peas we just buy them out of a can. they are already nice and soft and the goldies don't seem to have a problem pulling the shells off (and its funny watching ppl freak out thinking its fish eyes or eggs)
 
Call me nuts, but my Goldie's main dish is worms! I know, I know, I didn't plan on it, it just happened! He started as a feeder for my ACF's, but survived the slaughter and is now in excess of 7 inches long. Originally I of course wasn't feeding him, he was meant to be gone in a matter of days, but then he started grabbing the frog's worms and bingo, he's huge now. He will have nothing to do with anything resembling flakes, although he will occasionally eat some sinking carnivore pellets. I worried for awhile, but since he's thriving and hey, he's really nothing more than a glorified carp, I figured why not?

Oh lord these guys eat worms! When they are smaller, I feed them what are called panworms, now my frogs are huge and the nightcrawlers are better suited for them. ACF's will eat ANY fish that will fit into their mouths! I usually feed them rosies, but on occasion I've just gotten a couple dozen feeder goldfish(which is where Goldy comes in!), either way they are happy little campers! I've got 6 full-grown ACF's, and if I put 3 dozen rosies in, come dawn there are none left(they ignore them when the lights on, but when the lights go out.....everything's fair game!)! They also thrive on sinking carnivore pellets and chicken livers. They absolutley looooove chicken livers! I cut it up and freeze it in bite-size chunks to thaw as needed, and they go nuts!
 
I give a varied diet of homemade gel food, brine shrimp, spirulina, bloodworms,
fruit (not too much because fish dont digest simple sugars well) such as banannas, oranges, kiwi, etc. I crush Hikari pellets so they dont float.

I use the wardley's crumbles that your talking about and my goldies seem to love them and I haven't had any problems with them at all.

I also feed my goldies some peas twice a week and some frozen bloodworms a couple of times a week if they are lucky.

The bloodworms they love the peas they aren't crazy about but they eat them.
 
you shouldn't use caned peas they are loaded with salt,
i use frozen peas put a few in warm water to thaw and squeeze at one end and the pea pops out of skin , for larger golds i just put it in whole for smaller and my tropical, and betta i smush it in my fingers all my fish go nuts for them.. they like the fresh green taste i guess.... and healthier for them and use not cooked....
