Looking to get an emperor pleco, anyone had one of these before? If so tell me what you thought. I have 29 gallon tank so if any has any other suggestions for a good pleco I'd appreciate it. Thanks!

I have 3 of them in a 55, had 5 but 2 disappeared. They need driftwood to gnaw on, NLS pellets are also good. A few other suitable species for a 29 would be a BN, clown, or L129. Clown pleco's are also Panaques, and need driftwood in their diet. BN's are algae/veggie eaters, and L129's are more omnivorous (will eat whatever you feed the other fish, not as particular about their diet.)

If you don't have many other bottom fish, one emperor (L204) might be fine. They grow to over 5", and I think would be suitable for a larger tank. Beautiful fish though... I've seen several up close and they look gorgeous :) Good luck!!
