electric blue jack dempsey or severum?

ok so i cant decide between these two. i know these will both work in my tank ( have been told by a very respected fish keeper), but i just cant decide. they will be kept in a 55 with a blood parrot, 3 syno petricola, and 1 green bristlenose pleco. i fell in love with severums at the store, i absolutely loved its personality, but aren't jack dempseys supposed to be the same? i found a good source for them, instead of getting at a store where they're weak.

honestly i would do a sev AND a EBJD in a 55 ( without the BP as i am not really fond of hybrids ) but i would do the JD over the sev right now.

i have the blood parrot and he's staying. why would you do the JD over the severum?

better colors. but if it were me, i would do sevs over EBJD as there cheaper but still awsome looking! lol

haha. the only problem i have is im scared ill lose the EBJD. hes gonna cost around 30.00. if i did the JD(which is smaller than the sev) would this work?

1-BP
1-cutteri cichlid (male or female? i was thinking female)
3-syno petricola
and maybe a green bristlenose pleco? i have 2 30-60 filters right now but as they all grow ill upgrade to 2 aquaclear 110's

EBs are VERY sensitive fish and about 75 percent die ( poorly bred and poor genes in most EBs ) i would actually do with the sev instead..

1 bp
1 cutteri ( i would do male, as females lay eggs without a partner and will defend the fungused eggs )
3 synos pet
1 green BN


and call it a well stocked tank.. and filter seems fine. i would do with twice a week water changes MAYBE getting away with 1 a week..

if i did the aquaclears as they grow would 50% weekly be ok?

two AC 110 should be great for the tank. and yeah 50% once a week would be fine.
