I am planning to pick up a bunch of ghost shrimp later today, and am trying to find out if a dwarf gourami is likely to eat ghost shrimp.

Currently I have 5 glowlight tetras, and am trying to decide whether to get an additional 2 glowlights or 1 dwarf gourami. But I can't find any info on if the gourami will hassle the shrimp. The tank is a 10G and the total stock would be 5 (or 7) glowlights OR 5 glowlights and 1 dwarf gourami + 8 ghost shrimp

Thanks.

Any fish that gets to 2'' in length or larger (with the exception of some algae eaters) should be considered to be a threat to ghost shrimp, even if they can't eat it directly fish seem to be fascinated by shrimp and can hassle them to death if the tank lack sufficient hiding spots(fish have higher endurance than shrimp)

I think it depends on the gourami and size of the shrimp. My gold gourami, and when I had them, dwarf gouramis never bothered full-size shrimp. But I have seen both eat small/baby ghost shrimp if they could catch them and fit them in their mouth.

also remember, shrimp can do this little lightning jump dodge maneuver when they are in danger. It really is amazing how they can get from one side of the tank to the other. Make sure that you have a few plants and you should be just fine. My Pearl Gourami never bothers my shrimpies, well, any more than an occasional nose nudge.
