I wrote a post a few days back about my fish dying. Here's what I had:

1 pictus catfush
1 queen gold nugget pleco
1 bala shark
1 angelfish
6 cardinal tetras
______________
30 gallon tank

Well, i tried to do the water temp/salt treatment to the fish in case of unnoticeable ich and that didn't seem to work. All of my fish have died, with the exception of the angelfish.

Tonight, I am going to have to clean the tank out, put in fresh water and cycle the tank again. Then angelfish is going to have to go into a seperate tank with my other fish.

I don't know what happened. But I appreciate everyone's help.

Sorry about your loss. I admire your courage to start again instead of just sayING *%#@)* hobby and giving up. Hang in there and take it slow. In my 40+ years in this hobby I have had "fish execution chambers" in my time. Now, knock on wood, my only losses have been due to old age (fish not me :) ), and a power outage.

Ich is, to my knowledge, very noticeable.

GOOD LUCK!

I'm sorry for your losses. I had the same thing about a year ago. There was a whole 'tank of death' thing going on - with no noticeable signs of disease in the dead bodies (though given how scavengy my fish are - a lot of those dead bodies had been scoffed on).

Take it easy - go slow - and you should be all right. I've never been able to do it - but I know a lot of people keep quarantine tanks so that they can introduce new fish even more slowly and avoid mystery outbreaks..

Better luck on the next lot

I wouldn't add the angelfish to another tank of fish if you think it might be sick. You may end up loosing the other tank as well.

I would also recommend that before you pick out your next fish, make sure to research it's recommended tank size, dietary needs, etc. Good luck.

Although it sucks to have lost all the fish, think of it as a way to start fresh ;) ! You now have the time to get fish that will be happy in your tank long term, and can try some new fish.
