Custoized Eheim Intake ?

Anybody here has nice ideas on how to DIY intake pipings for Eheim 2250 Canister filter?

This is what i did for mine. But it does not look nice.

I ordered a new tank with cabinet, and was wondering it will look nicer if i customized PVC pipes as intake instead? anybody has a nice looking design?
or our tanks here have rims/braces , Would really appreciate tips/designs.

Yeah just do some pvc like you mentioned and spray paint it black, or something I would like to try is at the end of the pvc section, cap it and then cut slits around the pipe however long up the pipe you want. Cut some sponge up (black preferably IMO) and slide it on the pipe for 360 circumference bio and mech filtration!

At most LFS they have large square sections of sponge blocks for sumps you could easily modify.
