Cory size

jodi,
Depending on the breed of cory you're looking at, about 2-3 inches. I've only had Julii cories but I quickly scanned different breeds on planetcatfish and didn't see one listed over 3 inches. I seem to remember there is a cory that got a little over 3 inches but I could be wrong. And they do like to be in groups. I started with two, but I've read that six is a better number. HTH

Thanks for the reply. I am looking into a new tank and they are such cute little guys that I am looking into adding them, if I get a new tank. Now I think they are a good possiblility. I just don't know which species I want yet lol.

When I got my tank I didn't know that much about them. I had read about them on Ac and decided to get 2 to have as bottom feeders. I walked into the store and asked if they had any cory catfish not even realizing how broad a question it was. They had a few different breeds but my wife and I liked the look of the julii cory the best. They quickly became our favorite fish in the tank. (Even more when they spawned. I have mom, dad and two youngsters) I think they have great personalities and I love watching them when they go in to one of their crazy active periods. If you get cories I'm pretty sure you'll enjoy them. Good luck. :D
