Corner tanks

I am thinking about purchasing a corner aquarium for the dining room. But I'm concerned that it would be difficult to get to the back of the tank to the filter since you wouldn't be able to stand on the side of the tank. Anyone have a corner tank that could comment on this?

Also, do you get the visual distortion with a corner tank that you do with a hexagon? I want to avoid that this time around. Thanks!

I just got a aquaview 1gal, to hold and QT my feeders.

But the stupid thing is...the sharp right angle side of the tank...is the front. So the flat side of it, has wiring and everything..and i think that was the most retarded design i ever seen haha.
