My slightly larger clown (nelly) looked like he was going to nip at nemo, but nipped him on the mouth. Are they nipping or kissing?

Firstly are they the same species? Were they sold as a mated pair (not that, that necessarily means anything)? Remember that clowns will change sex based on pecking order.

I have a percula and a b&w percula. I had the regular one for months and when we switched to our 90g he was in there for a month or so before we got the b&w. They locked mouths for about 30 minutes or so and have not had a problem since. They now sleep together, swim together, and will dart across the tank to get to the other one.
They're probably establishing male and female.

they are same species and they will probally be a pair when they are older. The larger one is just under an inch long and the smaller one is 3/4" long.
