Hi Everyone,

I was wondering if anyone knew where I could find care sheets on all tropical FW fish. I work at a Petsmart in NC and I would really like to get a folder with care sheets of all the fish we sell and others for customers as well as some of the associates that are not all that knowledgable when it comes to fish and their needs. I've looked at the species profiles here, but they don't really have all the info I'm looking for for most fish.
If anyone has any suggestions or know's of some good sites that provide the info, please let me know! I'd greatly appreciate it.
Thanks a bunch.
Candice

That sounds like a great idea!

The profiles here are nicely done, they have some good info.

I would just go on google, and search for a fish, look at different profiles, and compare them, because some may have inaccurate info and some may have accurate info.

i.e. let's say if one site says that a Turquoise Rainbowfish get's to be 2.5 inches and two or more sites say that they get to be 4 inches, I would go with the old saying "majority rules".

Plus, if you even keep some of the fish you are looking for yourself, then maybe you can spot the incorrect or the correct info yourself.

Hope this helps a little :)

What info are you looking for that isn't in the AC profiles? Just curious, but They have temp, ph, sociability and recomended food even some spats about sexing/breeding. Thats pretty much all you need as basic info.

Most of the profiles on AC have all the info I'm looking for, but there are a good portion of profiles that only have where the fish are from and nothing else.
Thanks again

Just a thought, I know that just printing the profile from AC and keeping it at the store wouldt be the best way to do it. But i'm sure there are a bunch of us here who would love to contribute to a fish care sheet that could be used by any store who wants it. Mabey you could get a list of all the fish you commonly sell there, use some info found here and on other sites, and some of us could hepl fill in the blanks. I know that might be more work than you planned on; but I'm thrilled to see, not only an honest, knowledgable fish salesperson, but one who wants to share that with the other members of thier staff.
