Can you eat Goldfish?
How about Koi?
Any freshwater pet fish?
I'm just curious. I don't like eating fish in general, lol.

I cant see any reason why not, a fish is a fish, sure its wierd. But if you had too then you would eat it like any other fish.

As long as it has enough meat on it you cartainly can. Most of the fish in our hobby are a source of food to the natives of their home range. For example the Amazonians will commonly eat various pacus as well as larger cichlids. The people in africa will eat many of the cichlids common in our mbuna set-ups.

As long as the fish is prepared and cooked correctly, you "could" eat most of the fish in our hobby.

Interesting!
So if I do get a huge pond with Koi and Goldfish and they multiply and I can't sell them, guess I can give them to my sister and mother...lol
Thanks...
Anyone ever tried any?

I wouldn't eat any fish that have been in water treated with regular aquarium chemicals. My 2 cents.

I suppose you could but as Tay said, the chemicals might cause some problems. If they were bred and raised in an enviornment that is controlled and designed to house fish for consumption, then yes but not out of a pond.

weather loaches are eaten as a supposed medicine.

Teddy roosevelt ate a pacu I believe, and thought it tasted good...

I have well water, never add chemicals to my tanks, don't even own any anymore. Plants are also sprayed with safe, harmless things to get rid of bugs on the fruit trees and such.
