I am deciding to purchase 1-2 Marble Molly for my new 10 Gallon tank, I think I will get 1 male and 2 females for my tank. I will get a male marble molly and 2 females mollies.

1. If I have 1 male marble molly and 2 females red mollies, will they reproduce?

2. I will get a marble molly for sure, but can I get a red female and 1 black female in order for them to reproduce?

3. Or do I have to get 3 marble mollies in order to bleed?

My goal is to get 3 mollies in total and watch them bleed, that’s my goal. I know this is a stupid question, but can someone please answer my question, thank you.

I have 6 mollies in my 29 gallon tank.(2 black,2 dark orange,1 marble, and 1 yellow and black.) They will breed no matter what color they are. My male black molly mated with my marble molly and now i have a lot of fry that look solid black. :D You just need 1 male and 1 female to mate, but if you want 3 mollies that's fine also.
Good Luck!

Yes, like platies, guppies and swordtails, it doesn't matter what variety as they are all the same species of fish.
