Does anyone know where you can find some sort of label for tagging your electrical wires? I'd like to label my power heads, heater(s), skimmer, etc. so if I need to turn something off for some reason, you would know which plug to pull.

I use duct tape and a sharpie :D duct tape comes in many colors if you're not fond of the classic silver...

Electrical tape and a Sharpie works well, too. Even the black electrical tape is good, since Sharpies are available in silver.

Buy regular paper labels from one of the office supply stores. I like the 3 – 4 inch length labels. Either write or type what the plug goes to on half the label. Cover the label with clear tape. Trim off the excess tape. Now wrap the label around the cord close to the plug. Do this by basically folding the label in half with the sticky parts face-to-face.

The tape protects the paper from water splash and the sticking of the label sticky side to sticky side makes for a label that won’t fall off.

I just thought of it, I can check with electrical stores or electronic shops. Thanks for the help, I may end up using one of these suggestions. :)

This sounds good too. I've got tons of folder labels and rolls of clear box tape.

I'm lucky I guess as work I made my tags off a machine and there like plastic and i place them on there. I think you could just use a marker/sharpie and put on a dot or something on the plug part
