A little over 6 months ago I bought 3 adult Brochis splendens (emerald cory), and after 9-10 days in quarantine, they spawned! Having never raised baby catfish before I had a few trials and tribulations along the way, but 6 months down the line I've still got 17 juveniles and the 3 adults. They're now together in my 4' tank (before this they were spread around several tanks in case something went wrong!), and the juveniles have put on a growth spurt since these pics were taken, so that the largest ones are now nearly as large as the adult males.

How wonderful! I have one (i have tried to increase the numbers for him 3 times with no luck of getting healthy stock) and I love him. He schools with my sterbai. Fantastic pics!

I've had difficulty getting healthy-looking Corys in the UK, but thus far have managed to keep most of them alive (5 weitzmani, 4 pestai, 4 sterbai, 10 pygmaeus), plus the Brochis, 3 hoplos and 4 Callichthys, but I did lose 2 pygmaeus in the first week, and all 6 similis when I made the mistake of trying sand instead of gravel.

nice looking fish! liking the blood worms!
