I've owned a few goldfish, and watch for them at local fish stores and before now had never spotted one with a bright, crisp blue eye. The eye seems to be functional, and doesn't appear to be blue due to an injury. No matter whether it's natural, or environmental, it's beautiful, and very unique!
I fell for him before I noticed the eye, and was quite intrigued when I did notice the eye. We have a dog with similar bi-eyes (brown, and crisp blue) so joke we have 'matching' animals now
He's currently in our quarantine tank, and I can't wait to put him in with the other goldfish! He's quite active (More than my other Shubunkin).
I can try to get better photos later if requested. I need to wipe the tank since it's got the algae spots starting, which made the pics distorted.
