Blackwater Extract?

Has anyone used this? And please tell me the results?

Seems like it would perfect for my discus/ram/rummy tank, yet i've never heard of anyone using this?

Is it the almond leaves? They use that in breeding bettas and other labyrinth fish, apparently works wonders.

i use peat in the filter to soften the water for SA setup...however as the pH is significantly different in my tap water i treat the tap water with blackwater extract before adding to the aquarium to avoid osmotic shock

i used it for a time, it was good for water coloration and that's about it.
