I bought a bgk today and he made a 30 minute ride home and was aclimated into the new water by floating the bag and then netting him and putting him in. the tank is completely cycled with 0ppm ammonia, 0ppm nitrite, <10ppm nitrate, ph 7.6, temp 80. the tank is a 55g, yes i know it's too small for him in the future, i have plans on a 125 down the road, he's only about 3-4 inches now, so i'm not too worried about that now. the plant is heavily planted with fake plants and plenty of hiding spots. lots of cover. he's been in there now for about 4 hours and is lying on his side, at first i thought he was dead, but he moved a little. he's in the corner of the tank and just laying there. i'm worried about him not only for the 20 bucks i blew, but i really don't want him to die and don't know what to do. i was going to try and net him and just see if he was playing opossum, but the plant is back there and i don't want to squish him. Any ideas? do you think he's just getting accustomed to the new tank or on his way to fishy heaven? when i put him in the tank he went straight to that spot and really hasn't moved, i bought 3 clown loaches at the same time and they are doing great.

I usually leave all of the lights off when I add new fish at for the fist 24 hours until they are not as scared.
If he does go to the big tank in the sky within X # of hours the store should take him back with the body, the reciept and a water sample?
