My betta, Picasso, who lives in a 3 gallon tank. He has been suffering from fin rot for 2 weeks or more, and I've read multiple articles to heal his fins. Now, I add API Aquarium Salt to his tank once a week. His tank is cleaned once a week too. He has no other tank mates and only 1 Java Fern in his tank. So far, he seems to be healing well- There is transparent membrane forming on the tip of his fins and they seem to be regaining color. Does anyone have any tips on how to heal faster? Thanks!

No tips for healing faster, but for saving some money. Kosher salt and also regular cooking salt (even including iodine) will have the same effect, but cost less than API salt.

Clean water is the biggest key.

I expect that a description of what exactly you do when you clean his tank would be useful too, just in case there are potential problems there too.

But I expect he is getting better
