Okay, so I posted a few weeks ago about the baby mystery snail I found in my tank and everyone said (as I assumed) there had to be more... well there were lol. Oddly though the one I saw last week is much bigger than the others and he is DEFINITELY a mystery snail vs the other who look more like pond snails (I only saw them briefly when doing a W/C and rearranging plants and wood yesterday). So now my question, the one who is definitely a mystery snail is yellowish while the others are all dark black (if they are pond snails I will put them outside in the big pond ASAP) will they stay this color even if they are mystery snails or do their colors change as they grow? The four (now three one was mysteriously sucked out of it's shell) that I have are all either yellow or dark green. So, is it possible to get any other colors beside those two? I know I've seen (and msjinxed has) purple and other colors how do you end up with those colors? Thanks for any answers I appreciate it as these are my first true mystery snails!

I have so many baby purples that after they get a little bigger I am going to have to start selling them. Purple is like a recessive gene I got my by putting 4 purples in one tank and thats it. Turns out they had mostly purple babies :) Good luck with them.

amazing, I cannot wait to see what happens with them! SOOOO EXCITED!

It is cool I still find myself staring into my tanks for QUITE A LONG TIME looking at the little growing babies. Just make sure that you have a plan for the babies if you decide to hatch more brigg eggs. There can be A LOT off babies in those eggs:)

Thank you for the responses and the links! Huge help :grinyes:. As for tons of babies, I don't worry because my buddy at my LFS said he would buy anything that bred that I couldn't keep. Obviously it's cheaper for him to buy them from me than from his breeder (I don't ask much and usually just take a store credit anyway but he will give me cash if I don't need anything). Therefore, I am not worried about the overpopulation, esp because I havent found many people who sell briggs around here so he sells A TON! That part is all worked out. I would just love to get some other colors in there! I've been looked and I have one golden with light foot (had two the other was eaten by something), one dark green with dark foot and one dark green stripe with light foot.... muy interesante!
