I am thinking of getting some corydoras habrosus for my ten gallon Betta fish and neon tetra tank but I wanted to make sure they are compatible with Bettas first.

I know compatibility of Bettas with other fish often depends on the temperament of the individual Betta. The Betta in the ten gallon the cories would be going into seems to be pretty mellow and he gets along fine with the neon tetras.

The ten gallon does have the capacity to house the corydoras in addition to thecurrent inhabitants and it is very well filtered with two filters on it that could both handle the ten gallon alone.

I just want to make sure Bettas and corydoras habrosus are compatible.

If he gets along with the tetras he'll get along with the corys.

OhNo, your betta would probably have been aggressive to any fish you would have tried to introduce to the tank. If Jspigs betta is fine with colorful tetras swimming around I highly doubt it's going to think much of some bottom feeders.

Same thing I told OhNo, your betta probably wouldn't have been friendly towards any fish. Bright colorful fish are at the top of the list as to what bettas won't tolerate and if jspigs betta tolerate bright colorful fish then I can assure you it will tolerate bottom feeders:wall:. I have many bettas, one won't tolerate anything that moves, one won't tolerate anything but bottom feeders, and I have one that can be placed with just about anything.

the cories were half his size and sat on the bottom,.. where neons swim away,.. he not really agressive ,.. he's just seen andeasy target,.. as cories don't and won't fight back,.. and neon sometimes will,.. they swim up and shoo away something the goes after them unless its reall bad mean,..

mine just slowly went behind them and would grab their tails,.. but not attack like some bettas,..

They should be fine. The betta may be aggressive at first. Mine was when I added a Molly to his tank (to see if he would be okay with other fish). He nipped and chased and flared and was really p'oed.

Two nights later and he was fine. I took out the Molly and the betta seemed ... lonely.

Ratlova30 is absolutely right. Every betta is different, with different personalities. It will (in most instances) take longer than 24 hours for a betta to get used to another fish.

I'd add one cory and see what happens. If, after a couple of days, everyone is fine, add more cories.

Good luck.
