Anyone have Zoo Med Digital Aquarium Thermometers

I don't have one, but it appears that it sticks inside the aquarium...so it reads the water temp from inside...therefore, doesn't need a probe.

I got it haha. I'll let you know how well it works after using it. The great thing about this thermometer is that is comes with an EXTRA battery cell. So basically i'm covered for atleast a year in battery life :)

I have the Coralife Digital Thermometer which runs about the same price depending on where you buy it. Mine as a small probe that is suction cupped inside the tank and the readout is placed anywhere you want outside. I love it, and wont buy any of the glass or stick on thermometers again.

I have found that all digital thermometers suck no 2 will read the same temp.
I had 2 on my 90g angel discus tank that I like to keep at 84 -86. They read 2 degrees different from one side to the other. bought another in line heater that didn't correct the problem. I then move the thermometer and you bet 2 degrees different.

after a lot of reading on the subject there is no standard unless you buy a calabrated thermometer which is lab quality thermometers which the cheapest I have found are $40 shipped.

IMHO don't waste your money buy the glass one unless like me you need a magnifying glass to read them.

I'm switching from a glass one because it became inaccurate after 1 yr of use. I love the new zoomed thermometer so far...doesn't have the probe and looks great
