The title says it all. Is there a list available of tetras that are safe to put with angelfish? I want to avoid anything that will be eaten.

NOT neons. Basically, anything the angel can't put in its mouth will be fine. Serpae, phantom, bleeding heart, etc.

There are just a couple of criteria:

1) Not too small, because small tetras will get eaten. Silver tip and black neons (tetras about that size) should be ok.

2) Not too nippy, because they will nip the angelfish's fins. Buenos aires tetras, serpae tetras and black skirt tetras are all known to nip. Your mileage may vary, but I would be prepared with a plan B if you are planning to introduce known nippers. Maybe your LFS would be willing to take them back?

Are Pristellas a viable option?

I think so, although some people say they are nippy - they are very hardy and lovely fish, I would be tempted to try them. My advice would be to get big groups of a couple of species instead of small groups of many different species :)

Diamond, lemon and Columbian tetras could all work, too.

Yeah I am planning on just one species of tetra to go with the angel. Thanks for the advice!

I probably wouldn't try serpaes since they can be prone to nip. As Aj said pretty much anything after that...the bigger the body, the better. Lemons, diamonds, bleeding hearts, emperors are some of my favorites but sadly never kept them.

serpaes are almost as nippy as tiger barbs. they are not good tankmates for angels at all, so you should skip them. i kept black skirts with my angel for years and never had any serious problems as long as both parties had enough space.

your best bets though would probably be lemons, diamonds, rummynoses, and glolites

i've got georgettas in one tank with angels and black neons in another tank. both are doing fabulously
