woo! As the title states, i have about a hundred of so newly laid angelfish eggs. They were on the intake tube of my fluval filter, which i am planning on selling soon, so i took the intake tube off and placed it in my small 10 gallon hospital tank. The eggs seem to be doing fine so far, and as of right now there is only five or so white eggs(dead ones).

gratz!!!!

nope, i had to remove them last time too. The parents decide to lay eggs, fend off all the other fish, and then they eat the eggs. So, i set up this small tank to take care of this. Last time i removed them and they were fine. They only died because my sister couldnt feed them three times a day while i was on vacation.

nice good luck with the fry

bbs? i dont know what that is. I fed my other ones crushed up flake food. But holy crap! i came home yesterday, and the eggs are already starting to wiggle and move! ill have some free swimmers soon!

IF you want the fry to survive you need to feed them live baby brine shrimp (BBS) - they won't take crushed flake for a few weeks. You commented that your others died because your sister didn't feed them while you were on vacation - if she was feeding them the crushed flake - they starved to death or the tank became polluted from the uneaten food. BBS is the preferred first food for angels - I don't know of any breeder that doesn't use live food for the first few weeks w/their angels. They need the movement to stimulate feeding.

HTH,

Where can I get live baby brine shrimp? Would a lfs have it?
