Anyone have any experience with it? I have a bunch and need to know if I need to grow it outside the tank until the stalk is tall enough to reach out of the water, or can I plant the props directly in the substrate and let them find their way to the top. Anyone give me some advice?

K did some research and apparently if I just throw the props in on top of the tank, they will spring a tap root that will eventually absorb enough water to draw the root downward and right the seedling. So, can anyone verify this for me? Gonna throw them all in the tank and see what happens for now.

don't they need saltwater?
