A while back I ask about albino kuhli loachs. This was/is a difficult fish to find and they were/are rare. Just curious, did anyone get one/ any?.
have they gotten more common in some places?.
I'm no longer in the market, just curious.

You might just mistake them for Pangio filinaris which are often available only as contaminants of some kuhli shipments. Read them up on Loaches Online website.:)

i looked them up and they look the same as any kuhli i have encountered. how do i tell the difference?

I have never seen both the albino kuhlis and Pangio filinaris in the flesh so I am not in the position to tell you how best to distinguish both. Here's a reference though..

On the other hand, albinos have red eyes and the Pangio filinaris doesn't seem to have that although some people still might interpret them as albinos.

They (used to?) have pics of an orange and white kuhli on the Southland Aquatics ad in TFH. I've never seen one in person though...

I remember that. I have the January 2008 TFH magazine at home. I'll look that one up. Any chance someone buys those from Southland Aquatics? They could be very expensive though.

Edit: drgold has one...
