Ive had african clawed frogs in the past without much problem. Mine was housed with Mollys, Swordtails, Betta, Danios, Usually if there a pretty fast fish I wouldnt think there would be any problem.

I don't have clawed frogs myself, but I've read lots about them and it seems that unless a fish is something fast or a top-level fish, the general rule should be that if its head is narrower than the frog's, the frog will try to eat it. Even with something like a large weather loach or even a tiretrack eel. I think that would kill or at least damage the fish and the frog. As far most frogs are concerned, if it fits in their mouth, it's food.

I have two clawed frogs and what I have done to keep them from eating my fish was by feeding them small minnow that you can get at any bait shop and as long as they were fed they left the other fish alone. They only ate one of my algae eaters and that was when I was out of town for the weekend and didn't leave enough minnow in the tank. I hope that helps you.

they can be housed with any fast fish that they can't catch, or bigger fish they have no chance of eating. Otherwise, be careful of fish that might pick on the frog's skin, such as most cichlids.
