I want to know if I can put a dwarf frog with some of my cichlids, they are about 3 inches now. When they get older (I'm getting a 5 gal this weekend!) I can just move the frog there or my brothers 10 gal. I've had red clawed crabs in a 10 community tank, can they go with my cichlids?

No, the ADF will starve.

Not sure about the crab, never had one.

I wouldn't worry about the dwarf frog being starved. That would be the last thing to worry about.

Depending what kind of Africans, your little froggy could be picked apart in a couple hours.

Ok, the petsmart lady said that eventually the African cichlids will get to it, she also the one that made my brother spend an extra 150 dollars on a Russian tortoise setup. She said the crabs would be fine if they had air. (go to crabhomes.com I would get one of those)

Your cichlids will eat just about anything that is small and doesn't swim faster than they do. This includes frogs, snails, shrimp, crabs, etc. They are not "community" fish, so the list of suitable tank mates is rather short.

More importantly, how big is the tank you have your cichlids in? You mentioned a 5g tank and 10g tank... but didn't mention anything about a tank large enough to be suitable for your 5 mbuna, let alone any new tank mates.
