We just received an albino clawed frog and threw him in our 120 gal. african cichlid tank. The cichlids are peacocks, yellow blaze, sunshines,a jewel, a rusty, and figure eight puffer. Will they all get along? Thanks!

African clawed frogs are a notorious aggressive species that will love to eat fish if they can catch them, i say if it is small right now you may be ok but when they get larger you will more than likely get an aggressive frog. I recommend a separate 10gal just for the frog. If it is small it may fall victim to the cichlids if the cichlids are larger. FYI they are now banned in a lot of states you may want to check your local fish and wildlife laws to see if this applies to your area, i know they are here in KY but not in Indiana..

Thanks! I checked and they don't seem to be banned in IL. We're keeping a close eye on him and for now everyone's getting along. As soon as they don't we'll move him to a 10 gal.

Cool deal they are nice looking frogs, we are thinking of moving to Indiana here in a year or so (not for the frogs LOL) but to get some nice land and will be one of the first things i do is set up a Albino African Clawed frog tank..

I wouldn't expect it to last long. The frog will eat anything that fits in it's mouth, and will kill a fish trying. I kept a small one with some large blue gouramies for a while, but eventually the frog was big enough to go after them--and those claws are NOT decorative. Give it a tank of it's own.

I really liked my frog, was sad when I had to find her a new home due to a move to CA.
