I have 5 Anomalochromis thomasi living in a 4' tank with two Electric blue jack dempseys. So far I've had two spawns from two separate pairs of thomasi (they're breeding at 3cm long!), but the dempseys cleaned them up.

I'm planning on moving the thomasi's to my 30" tank which is full of guppies. Will adult guppies be okay with one or two pairs of A. thomasi in the same tank? They don't seem to get the bloodlust like my kribs do when they breed.

Anyone got any experience of keeping the two together?

My feeling is that if the thomasi have other thomasi to worry about they'll ignore the guppies anyway.

I'm interested in hearing your opinions.

I wouldn't be surprised if the guppies didn't get their tails shredded at the very least.
