African Brown Knife.

I just got a african brown knife because I had freed up some room because I gave my zebra danios away, and I bought some frozen brine shrimp for it and I am just wondering how much and how do I feed them to him?

I put a chunk of the frozen into a shot glass, add neutral aqua. water with a turkey baster wait till it thaws then dole out little bursts with the baster into the tank. Three times a week all they can eat in a minute or two.

shrimp pellets

my brown knife loves shrimp pellets. i have had 2. the first one ate shrimp pellets and any thing live. i fed him guppies earth worms and ghost shrimp. the second one prefers shrimp pellets and guppies. he isnt real sure of the worms. i threw a grub in there once and he demolished that.

try frozen foods like bloodworms, and live foods like brine shrimp or guppy fry.

While this is an old thread, I've never heard of African Brown Knifefish going over 12". Other knifefish get 2-3 feet long (such as the clown knife). Here is the fishbase info on them:
