Ok, not a furry little white rabbit, but even better. I was at my LFS and was lamenting my recent carpet surfing by my goldheaded sleeper goby. They showed me that they had two SeaHares a black one and this green one. The picture does not do it justice. It is facinating to watch and oddly enough once you watch it for a while (can't really say he or she as they are hermaphroditic) you can see the face...ears, etc. Got to watch the back end becuase they can squirt ink if they get poked a lot or feel threatened. Have to keep the carbon on the system forever...but its worth it.

Hope you get a chuckle out of it.

If they die they release toxins that kill fish, so watch out. It is very cool looking, though.

That particular hare is one of the easiest. It will eat thread, calupera, nori etc. I've had a couple of them and they seem to eat most of the green algaes in what ever condition along with diatoms off the bottom of your tank. The only thing is they don't live a long time some where around 18 months on average. The green one I have no clue if you have a pic or a link that would help ,"maybe." Most of the sea hare will only eat one food period but, a few are generalist.

Max: I was not aware when they die that they release toxins into the water, haven't seen that in the text I have read. Is this true? I know they are inkers...but was not aware that they release toxins in the water.

Oh, an idea on the taxonomy...it doesn't look like any that i look up?
